In our archive we are keeping aerials from the late 1950s, scanning of this huge archive is still in process.
Today we have ca. 130k pictures digitalised.

National Land Cover Database (CLC50)

Land cover database produced by the interpretation of satellite images prepared 1998-2000 at the scale 1:50 000. Based on land cover, the area of Hungary has been organized into 79 categories, resulting 174 000 polygons.

SPOT4 Xi+M satellite images taken in summer 1998 and in 1999 were used for mapping. The evaluation of the satellite photomaps was made by computerized photo interpretation, digitizing on computer screen. To increase the thematic accuracy, satellite images taken in other periods of time were also used.
The following satellite image cuttings were used for photo interpretation:
- Digital photomap sheet prepared from SPOT-4 satellite images (simultaneous, digitally merged XI and M type data in EOV projection),
- Additional SPOT-4 image (if the date of the overlapping image differs at least with one month),
- Additional satellite images taken in the period 1997-1999 (Landsat TM, IRS-1C) from FÖMI Archives, mostly for more reliable evaluating of agricultural areas and removing transient phenomena (e. g. temporary water cover),
- Satellite image taken in spring (March-April) mostly for better delineation of pinewoods and grasslands.

Elevation

Elevation model produced from contoured topographic maps at scale 1:10 000. The surveys for those topographic maps serving as basis of this model were completed between 1979 and 2000. The updating with more significant changes that happened in the relief since 2000 (e. g. constructing new motorways, establishing opencast mines etc.) has been performed by stereo photogrammetric method based on aerial photographs taken in 2000, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013 and 2014. The dataset is GRID type (points placed on a regular grid) with native resolution of 5x5m and vertical reliability is about ±0,7m.

.tif (32bit raster image, elevation is given in the color code of the pixel) or
.XYZ (ASCII file, one line of it contains Y, X, Z coordinates; one point - one line, "Z" is in cm)

Control Points

- Vertical control points (MAG)
The data of first, second and third order points of EOMA (Uniform National Height System) and Bendeffy Network are available at FÖMI. The point data of fourth order can be purchased from the territorially competent county land offices.
- Control points of the Uniform National Horizontal Network (VAB)
It contains the data of first, second and third order horizontal control points, fourth order main controls, military orientation points and fourth order control points.
- GPS control points (OGPSH)
The National GPS Network of Hungary (OGPSH) was established in 1995-97 by the State surveying authority. The network consists of 1155 points: it corresponds to a point density about 1point/10 km. OGPSH provides the reference system, i. e. the starting points of relative surveys and also enables the transformation between the traditional and the GPS coordinate systems.

Cadastral Map (Cadastral boundary and Building)

Cadastral map or land registration map in other words. Geoshop.hu portal makes available the two most important layer of the cadastral map for the interested clients: borderline of the cadastral parcels and contours of buildings. We are doing our best to keep the data up-to-date, i.e. not older than three months.

In the database there are about 8 million parcels, these are not older than 2018. September 25.

Administrative Boundary (MKH)

This is a database containing the administrative boundaries of the Hungarian settlements. This database (that is completely consistent with the legally registered land office data) is available in different resolutions from 1m to 500m.

Hungarian Gazetteer (FNT1)

The database of the Gazetteer contains the names of settlements, parts of settlements, landscapes, smaller units (ridges, forests etc.) nature conservation areas, relief and hydrography, names of conspicuous points (ruin, lookout tower, castle etc.) usually marked on the maps as well as the names of the most important objects of traffic, altogether 40 types of geographic names.
A name record determines the location of an object marked with geographic name together with the names of the county, the settlement and an EOV and/or geographic coordinate pair. The name record contains the type of the geographical name and its variations both with their sources. Other attributes: population, elevation, connecting points of watercourses. In the field of Notes there are remarks on the changes of public administration, the parent or subordination relations among names or about the case if the name extends over the area of another settlement.
By its content, the database is structured by settlements (excepted landscapes and counties), which means that a geographical object - extending over more settlement - can be found as many times as the number of the settlements. By logic, the structure of the database consists of name records; there is no hierarchy among the records.
Available formats:
- shp: the attribute table contains the data of FNT1 database, while the enclosed .mdb (Microsoft Access database) contains code tables to interpret certain values.
- dxf or dgn: they only contain the actual titles/inscriptions (but .shp and .mdb datasets are delivered too).

Ortophoto

Ortophotos produced from aerial photographs taken in summer of 2000, 2005, 2007, 2008, 2009, 2010, 2011, 2012, 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016 and 2017 with native resolution of 0,4 - 0,5m/px.
The native resolution of ortophotos from winter of 2015, 2016 and 2017 is 0,2m/px. Since these pictures were taken winter we refer to them as "leafless".
The ortophotos do not contain the areas corrected by Geoservice of the Ministry of Defence.
These data are available with resolution weaker than the native one and in compressed (jpg) file format too.

Contour Line

This is a dataset produced by vectorization of scanned and transformed data of elevation layers of topographic maps at scale of 1:10 000. The contour lines are broken e. g. at road crossings just like in the topographic maps. They do not contain the relief formations shown in topographic maps by legend (gullies, dips, stone-slides). Contour line density follows the features of the terrain.
Available formats:
- shp: the characteristics belonging to linear elements contain the elevation values of contours and their types (basic contour line, main contour line etc.);
- dxf or dgn: several types of contours and inscriptions in separate layers too. In dgn-format, the elements of drawing also contain their elevation values as attributes, i. e. they represent 3D datasets.
Their up-to-dateness corresponds to that of the topographic maps at scale 1:10 000.

Topographical Maps

Raster format:
- Maps in EOV (Uniform National Projection) and EOTR (Uniform National Mapping System) sheet system, at different scales:
-- 1:10.000, native resolution (because of 300dpi scanning resolution): 0,846m/px
-- 1:100.000, native resolution (because of 300dpi scanning resolution): 8,46m/px
-- 1:200.000, native resolution (because of 300dpi scanning resolution): 17m/px
They can be purchased in georeferenced (scanned, transformed and frame-cut) format that contains the actual part of the map, or without georeference (scanned only).
-- Maps of Gauss-Krüger projection in GK/Hazai map sheet system.
-- at scale of 1:10.000, without georeference, and of resolution about 0,846m/px
-- at scale of 1:25.000, without georeference, and of resolution about 2m/px

The georeferenced maps can be purchased with smaller resolution and compressed file format (.jpg) too.
The versions without georeference are only available in their native scales, uncompressed tif format files.
